J. Cecil Wolfe was born and raised in Grand Valley Ontario. He attended Waterloo Lutheran College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario. Cecil also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall law school.

Cecil moved to Fergus in 1960 when he came to article with W.A. Maedel. Cecil took over Mr. Maedel’s practice in 1962 when Mr. Maedel was appointed a County Court Judge. Cecil has been serving the residents of Wellington County and its surrounding area for over 50 years.

Cecil and his wife Christina have three children, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Cecil is an avid golfer and in her spare time Chris enjoys gardening.

Cecil is a Charter member of the Fergus-Elora Rotary Club and is an active member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus. He also sits on the legacy committee for the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation. Cecil is a member of the Wellington Law Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.

Cecil has retired from the regular practice of law and is pleased that Wolfe, Smith & Forster LLP will continue serving business and families in Fergus, Elora and Wellington County.
